1 CONNAUGHT PARK NOTES 1 $ f OTTAWA, Ont, June 15. Judge Francis Nelson announced that John J. McCafferty has been granted a license by the Canadian Racing Associations. McCafferty is now racing a small string at Long Branch. The next meeting of the Canadian Racing Association will take plcae at the Montreal Jockey Club at Blue Bonnets on Monday, June 10. At this meeting tho passage of licenses and other incidentals relating to racing will be the chief subjects. Jockey J. Tammaro was suspended for the remainder of the meeting in addition to being fined f for rough riding on Georgo J. in the sixth race Monday. Jockey J. Chalmers, who has been riding for M. Hirsch for several months, severed his connections with that establishment and, arrived here this morning. Ho will be seen in the saddle tomorrow. Crystal Ford pulled up lame after his race Monday and he was excused from starting in the seventh raco today. The first claim of the meeting was filed In the second race when T. J. Donohue, actimj for C. Li. Whiting, well-known show horseman, of Avon, N. Y., secured J. W. Beana Rock Thorn for ,500. J. Tighe, who Is training a division of th Wilson-Salmon band here, was in receipt ofi a message from T. J. Healey notifying hlrd that five additional horses were being sent up from New York to augment tho band now racing here.
