Start good and slow. Won driving: second and third the same. BROWN ROCK, close up from the start, raced CAST BY into early defeat and. taking the lead on the last turn, held it gamely to the end. CAST BY set a good early pace, saved ground where possible and made a game finish. FALSE FACE began slowly, but worked his way up on the inside and finished in resolute fashion. SOL finisled well. Start good and slow. Won handily: second and third driving. LEMNOS raced into a long lead at once, but began to tire in the final eighth and had to be hard ridden to outfinish GOLDEN BLOOM. The latter worked her way up on the outside and finished fast. MY ALASNAM, in nearest pursuit of the winner in the early running, tired in the last quarter. TID BIT began very slowly, but closed a gap and finished fast. SWIFT SHUTTLE raced well. FAIR WARNING bolted to the outside fence on the stretch turn. HOBCAW, fractious at the barrier, began fast and raced THORN BLOSSOM into defeat, then .took the lead and, responding readily when called on in the stretch, won going away. HEARTACHE raced close up and made a fast finish. SARATOGA MAJE was rushed into early prominence and made a challenge after entering the home stretch, but tired under his weight. The latter improved his position steadily on the inside on the back stretch and was gaining slowly at the end. FOREST LORE, prominent throughout, tired when hard ridden in the stretch. TWO FEATHERS raced close up from the start and passed JACQUES into the lead after entering the streteh, but could not withstand the winner when challenged. DUBRIC raced well all the way and, passing PLAY ON, came again, after losing ground on the stretch turn. BETHLEHEM closed a gap and finished gamely from a slow beginning. RANOCK raced wide on ail the turns. RED WEED ran well, but tired.- PLAY ON quit.
