MAT HUNTER, suddenly improved, moved up fast when rounding into the stretch and, racing into the lead in the last eighth, won going away. CROSS PLAY raced close up for the entire race, but tired and barely lasted to save second place. JOE ADAMS raced well, but swerved repeatedly in the last eighth. RILLY McCARNEY was going fast at the end. RETROSPECTION suffered from interference. ALLAH ALLAH set a good pace, but bolted in the stretch while in the lead. SEVENTEEN SIXTY, from an outer position, had to race wide in addition to being .away slowly, but finished fast and might have won under equal conditions. ROGAN began well, but was taken back and had to be ridden hard to out finish DOMESTICATED. The latter tired in the last eighth after early prominence.
