Bedwell lias arranged to transfer two van loads of Woods Garths horses to Rim-lico also two van loads for Dr. J. P. Jones. There were several arrivals at Fimlico this morning. W. II. Martin got in from J-he Cumberland Park course, at Nashville, Tenn., where the horses were in winter quarers since the close of the Rimlico meeting last fall. Jockey J. Callahan, who has been assisting Martin in preparing the horses this spring, accompanied the stable North. R. W. Walden was another arrival. He came down from the Walden Farm at Middltburg, Md., with the A. H. Morris band. There are some good looking two-year-olds in the band. The steeplechase course at Pimlico was thrown open this morning and forty chasers were schooled. E. S. Weller had sixty-five two-year-olds at the gate at Rimlico this morning. S. Ralumho, an apprentice under contract to th;j Willis Sharpe Kilmer Stable, had his first mount this afternoon when he rode Frances Rock in the seventh. P. Relleterie claimed the two-year-old filly Miss Wren out of the first race for ,400. Bernard Hershman and T. J. Jones, two prominent sportsmen from Hamilton, Ont., arrived to spend the remainder of the meeting and at the same time look over some horses for Canadian campaigning. J. J. McCafferty will remain at Havre de Grace for a couple of weeks after the close of the meeting. His plans are to replenish his stable and ship from here direct to Arlington Park. P. L. Ciceri has decided to ship his horses from here direct to Toronto following the close of the meeting.
