ARLINGTON PARK ARRIVALS Thoroughbred Colony at Great Northwest Side Plant Being Augmented Daily. Thoroughbreds for Arlington Tarks spring meeting of twenty-four days, opening June 4, are arriving daily, mainly from Kentucky. A few have been brought from New York. Several have come from western points, notably Crystal Tennant and Masked Marvel heading a consignment of Tijuana cam-pa fetters. Mere than 100 horses now on the scene are the advance guard of more than 1,200 for which reservations have been made. It is not a question of obtaining racing mate; ial, rather it is a problem to provide accommodations. Additional stable room for 120 horses is being completed. The management is requiring all owners to state definitely the number of horses they wish to send. Maj. Frederic McLaughlin announces that acceptances are based on quality, not number, an assuranco, he says, that Chicagos great plant on the Northwest Highway, twenty-three miles from the locp, will have, in its second meeting, the best thoroughbred sport in the record of Middle West racing. Sixty-six horsss were out for an airing Monday on the mile and an eighth track at Arlington Park. Crystal Pennant, Coffroth Handicap winner, ready to race, never looked better. The same applies to Masked Marvel and many of the others. Because of the intervening time for the inaugural all training activities are under restraint. John M. Keegan, track superintendent, is putting the final touches on the mile track, which will ba in readiness for the opening. The first race to be run over it will be the American National Premier Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, which closed with 121 nominations, included in the number being Sister Ship, Cudgeller, Boom, Rurik, Kentucky Cardinal, Irish Pal, Chicago, Devon, Mike Hall Buddy Bauer, Sun Beau, Sandy Man, Reigh Olga, Misstep, Jock, Toro, Sun God II. Rolled Stockings, Flat Lron, Mino, Grey Lag. Mowlee, Swcepster, Crystal Tennant, Sir Harry and Solace. A
