— i FAIRMOUNT PARK PURSES All Prizes at Collinsville Course ,000, With ,200 and ,500 Overnight Feature Races. COLLINSVILLE, 111., May 13.— The condition book for the first ten days of tae spring meeting of the Fairmount Jockey Club, which opens Saturday, May 26, and continues to Saturday, July 7, have been issued. Racing secretary J. B. Campbell has fixed the conditions of the overnight races to provide contests suitable for the high class horses that will participate in the Fairmount Park meeting. All purses are for ,000 or more, with ,200 and ,500 for overnight feature races. Th3 Collinsville Handicap, a ,000 stake, for 3-year-olds and upward, over three-quarters, will provide the feature for the opening day. The 5,000 Fairmount Derby will be run Saturday, June 2. In addition to these stake races, the initial book provides the conditions for a number of races that will attract through the enti. box the better class of horses. For Memorial Day. Wednesday, May 30, the Decoration Day Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, at one mile and a sixteenth, will carry an added money value of ,500. Weights and declarations for this event will be announced May 21. According to C. Bruce Head, general manager, the urgent -equests for stable room at Fairmount Park are far in excess of the stable facilities. It was stated, however, that all requests are being considered and every possible effort being made to care for the horses of the many prominent establishments from which requests have been received. In the meantime, Mr. Heal would like to have all owners understand that they should not ship their horses to Fairmount Park unless advised that stables have been assigned them.
