JOCKEY VEITCH SUSPENDED BALTIMORE Md May 3 The following ruling was issued by the Pimlico stewards after the running of the steeplechase steeplechaseJockey Jockey Veitch has been suspended and his case referred to the Maryland Racing Com ¬ mission for such further action as it may deem fit Jockey F Thorndyke has been fined 50 and R William 25 for violation of the steeplechase rules which provide that a horse leaving the course must return to the point at which he left it to reenter the contest Both Thorndyke and Williams continued on when they were no longer par ¬ ticipating in the race
