AQUEDUCT IMPROVEMENTS NEW YORK N Y May 13 John E Cowdin president of the Aqueduct race track was host to visiting newspapermen at the course yesterday He pointed out several new and sorely needed improvements which had been completed One that stood out and was welcomed by steeplechase enthusiasts was the completion of a schooling and edu ¬ cational corral The size of the jumps in the corral can be altered to suit the degree of learning of the horse Several horses notably Whipcracker and Song and Dance Man were schooled riderless during the morning and created considerable stir The corral is modeled after that used by Thomas Hitchcock and long advocated by Eugene Leigh who uses the same system in France to school his jumpers and educate them
