FILLY IS STAR OF MEETING I Thistle Fyrns Success Recalls Her Derby Achievements Wins Two Stakes nt Lexington and Tuts G Collins at lie Ton of the List Thistle Ann Contributes Recollections of her distinguished service for the Collins stable last season when she won the Ohio State Derby and was second I in the Fairmount Derby were brought back j this week when the financial returns of the Lexington meeting were compiled and it was found that Thistle Fyrn the game My Play Hildred filly had led all horses racing at Lexington during the meeting which closed last Saturday Thistle Fyrn had a perfect record at this track winning her only two races which were two of the principal stakes of the meet ¬ ing the Camden Handicap and the Ben AH Handicap Each was worth slightly over 3000 to the winner In the Camden Thistle Fyrn defeated the good Whitney filly Niato a Derby candidate by a head She defeated practically the same field in the other stake Last year Thistle Fyrn cut more figure in Derbies than any other filly She ran second to Karl Eitel in the Fairmount Derby and then defeated Dinah Did Upset Voltear and others in the Ohio State Derby DerbyG G Collins won far in excess of any other owner at Lexington His Thistle Ann won the Ashland Oaks this too at the expense of the Whitney filly Niato which was very close up Thistle Ann was third in the Versailles Purse which was won by the then Derby candidate Dedicate DedicateDon Don Leon the Lee O Cotner colt which won the Idle Hour Stakes last Saturday for R W Collins was the second largest winner of the meeting but Mary Cobb a
