THE OKAH began fast, worked his way clear before reaching the turn, where he was taken under light restraint and, withstanding the challenge of OUTER HARBOR entering the stretch, drew away under urging. OUTER HARBOR, away fast and in hand for three-eighths, raced wide on the stretch turn, where he moved up menacingly, was unable to get to the winner, but held on well, outlasting- MAVRO. The latter, on the inside after a quarter, withstood pressure gamely and was in close quarters near the end. GOLD BET had no mishaps. BRINKLEY dropped back suddenly on the turn. BATTLER tired, but the effort may benefit him. FLORENCE DOLAN, taken back shortly after the start, showed a poor performance. KING HALMA lacked his best speed. FIALA failed to improve her position. POLYFON, nervous on the way and at the post, lacked ample room most of the way. HARRY KUHNS was outrun. YARROW bolted soon after the start. JACK BERRY, a factor from the start and always under strong urging, slowly disposed of ALBAZANO in the stretch and just failed to last. PERFECT PLAY, forced wide on the first turn, moved up slightly entering the final quarter, but tired. ALBAZANO, taken into the lead, was well rated and held on fairly well for an eighth under strong pressure before tiring. JOAN G. met much interference on the first turn and showed a good performance. FLYING WINGS was outrun. NA ZDAR showed early speed. The latter moved up fast from the start, headed MODERN ACE near the closing sixteenth and was forced to the inside by the winner near the.end. FRIEND JOHN moved up fast, in the first sixteenth and, green, swerved badly in the last eighth, but held on welL THE HUB, away slowly, was clear throughout and closed a gap. MODERN ACE showed speed and was crowded when the leaders bore over. SUNNY FLOWER showed early speed. LONESOME GLORY was blocked shortly after the start. RUN ON, a factor throughout, saved ground on the turn and withstood the drive gamely. NIM THE NYMPH, under restraint in the early stages, held on fairly well. OVERBOARD showed speed, saved ground and tired badly after five-eighths. PROMETHEUS dropped far out of it on the turn, saved ground thereafter, but could not get up. HIGH POCKETS quit. BRIGHT KNOT raced wide and was outrun.
