DESTROY LIEUT. RUSSELL NEW ORLEANS, La.,. Feb. 22. Lieut. Russell, owned by Ralph Gallet of Chicago, was found to have so severely injured himself when breezing at the Fair Grounds Saturday that he had to be destroyed He suffered a double fracture below the right knee, according to trainer H. W. Smith.
