CATHERINE FOX, in close quarters on the inside for half a mile, went around the leaders near the end and outlasted LINE OF FIRE. The latter began slowly, improved his position on the turn and finished gamely. FLASH O WHITE, used up racing DIANA D. into early defeat, tired in the stretch. SHORT STORY had no mishaps.
