OUR FANCY IN GOOD WORKOUT Respess Derby Candidate Gallops Six Furlongs in 1:20 Over Slow Track at Louisville. LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 22. Our Fancy, J. B. Respess Derby candidate, showed the best trial of any of the eligibles for the race that worked this morning when he went six furlongs at Douglas Park over a slow track in 1:20. J. Sauter had the mount on the gelding, which was paced by the older horse Hornsby. Trainer Trotter was well pleased with the move. The first half was covered in :51 and five furlongs in 1:05, after which he was eased up for the last stages of his journey. Barashkova, which was paced by Devlin, ran five furlongs in 1:05 over a muddy track. Jockey R. Cheatham was on Barashkova and he followed Devlin, which outbroke him, forthe first half-mile in :12, :26, :39, :53, after which he was eased up. Trainer Claude Hunt gave Delivered a good gallop with jockey Carl Shea in the saddle in :28, :55, 1:24 for six furlongs. Trainer "Bill" Crump was again on Cold Check this morning when he worked with Depression, galloping seven furlongs in the mud. They raced close together for the first six furlongs in :55 for the half and 1:24 for the distance. Cold Check went the seven furlongs in 1:38, while Frank Clelland pulled the filly up.
