LAST DAY AT BAINBRIDGE Algreen Triumphant in Cleveland Plain Dealer Handicap, Feature of Closing Program. CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 25. Algreen, carrying the colors of P. T. Catalano and ridden by jockey T; W. Shaw, captured the Cleveland Plain Dealer Handicap, the outstanding feature of the closing day card at Bainbridge Park this afternoon. Mrs. H. S. Harts. Silver Cord raced to second position while Le Mar Stock Farms Mad Wind, headed his stablemate, Most Wise, for third in the last few strides. Silver Cord led into the stretch with Algreen racing closely lapped upon the leader. Most Wise was racing in advance of the others. A furlong put, Algreen took command and retained a rather comfortable lead thereafter. Silver Cord had no serious opposition for second. For the final test, Mad Wind had more in reserve than Most Wise. Under a change in riders from Hardy to the apprentice J. Lane, Abdel displayed startling improvement. He finished strongly closely lapped upon the Le Mar pair on the outside and would have been third in a few more strides. At intervals rain threatened, but the races were staged over.a fast track. An excellent half-holiday crowd turned out. Evenly matched fields paraded in all of the eight races.
