EBONY LADY, in hand in the early stages, took the lead with a rush on the inside on the stretch turn and, opening up a big margin, won easily. GRIMACE, on the extreme outside for half a mile, bore in badly when moving up in the stretch and, causing much interference, was lucky to escape disqualification. WELL SHOD improved his position fast on the stretch turn and raced evenly under weak handling in the final eighth. MY BLAZE began slowly, was moving up resolutely when almost knocked down by .GRIMACE entering the final eighth, but for which she would have been a stronger factor. BIANOZ was weakly ridden. WAYWARD LAD closed boldly. CHATWINK worked his way into the lead on the turn, went: very wide entering the stretch and quit. LEE GOLD and THROUGH OMOND showed early speed. The latter came out of the race with, cuts about the right foreleg. ONRUSH began fast, raced wide and closed resolutely. CRESTA RUN came up with a rush in the final five-sixteenths and finished gamely. SWEEPRUSH had no mishaps. LILAC BLOOM was Iuckv to escape falline. THREAT was in second place when she stumbled and fell on the turn. CICERO and AMERICAN PRINCE fell over her. PRINCE WESTEND dropped far out of it, was taken up to escape the spill and was only canteriwr in the final quarter. PARNELL BOUND began fast, easily disposed of HAMILTON near the turn, was inclined to bear in after entering the stretch and tired under his weight, but outlasted SHAKER LADY. The latter, taken back approaching the turn and allowed to remain out of it to the stretch, rallied to strong urging and was wearing down the winner. BARASHKOVA showed speed, bore, over tothe inside behind the winner in the stretch and finished on his own courage. MAKING BUBBLES raced evenly. HAMILTON showed early speed. POLLYS FOLLY was outrun. The latter, rated off the pace, came through., on the inside on the stretch turn, withstood the drive gamely, but was not good enough. TOMMY rallied weakly in the final five-sixteenths and tired after a mile, but outlasted LADY GIBSON. The latter, far back from the start, could not get up. LAFTAR quit.
