CONSWATER moved up mildly on the turn, but tired in the stretch, where he swerved badly. GLAMOROUS showed speed and stumbled badly on the stretch turn. The latter, probably best and weakly ridden, began slowly, moved up fast on the lower turn and, after dropping back as if through near the final eighth, came again boldly in the late stages. DOMINA, rated behind the pace, rallied mildly entering the stretch, but tired in the closing sixteenth. TOMMY showed speed, but could not reach the leader under pressure in the final quarter and tired in the last eighth. DEPRESSION raced wide. BLAST, away in a tangle, could not get up. WRIGLEY FIELD, very fractious at the post and away in a tangle, carried a shank throughout .md did not threaten.
