PEEDEEQUE saved much ground when the leader went wide into the stretch and, responding gamely, iook the lead on the inside in the closing eighth and won under pressure. TAUNTON circled the others in the last three eighths and finished with a rush. RHYMING galloped off half a mile before the start alter unseating his rider, was rushed to the front, but was poorly handled in the stretch. MATHIAS struck a soft spot in the last eighth and stumbled. SILVER ARCH finished fast after racing green. The others were ©utrun. Overweight — Mathias, 2 pounds; Scofflaw, 3j. INSTIGATOR, given a short breathing spell leaving the back stretch, responded resolutely to overtake SUE JONES in the stretch and wen in a hard drive. SUE JONES, rushed into command after the first quarter, was taken out into the firmer footing in the stretch and continued gamely. ACCOLADE saved mueh ground all the way. HIS WAY gained steadily on the outside in the final half mile. DOORKEEPER showed good form. MORDROM was used up early. GOLDEN STORM tired. Scratched— 80526 Fair Clark, 110. GREATOREX Wrs no match for the first two. POINT BREEZE was far back all the way. MON CHER trailed throughout. BANDIT landed badly at the eighth fence and runtured his back and lees.
