FAIRMOUNT PARK NOTES NOTESi i Over 100 horses are already on the grounds at Fairmount Park for the thirtyfour day meeting beginning May 26 and running through July 4 and with applications pour ¬ ing in daily all the barns are expected to be filled to capacity for the opening openingMy My Dandy W C Reicherts great racer which has won 124883 during his career has been showing some nice workouts in preparation for his comeback The other day My Dandy now nine years old went a half mile in 51 handily showing no trace of the leg injury which forced him on the shelf at Tropical Park in March of last year W I Pultz is overlooking My Dandys train ¬ ing here until the other Reichert horses ar ¬ rive from Dallas DallasMrs Mrs Mildred Snowden secretary of Fair mount Park received word from the Illinois Racing Commission that A G Weston had been appointed its steward representative for the forthcoming meeting Weston who is now at Pimlico in a similar capacity will come here before the opening to join John Ireland and Dick Leigh LeighA A J Pershall who races under the nom de course of the Blue Star Stable probably has the best stable on the grounds thus far Pershall has ten in his string including the good sprinter Malolo Grand Union Gurgler Brown Polly and Tiger John Pershall hopes to have Malolo ready for the Inaugu ¬ ral Handicap in which he may match strides with My Dandy DandyThe The track proper is in good shape thanks to the able assistants of track superin ¬ tendent Placide Frigerio The workmen have harrowed and leveled the track daily and the horsemen have taken adavntage of its condition byworking their charges every morning morningAmong Among the owners who have made appli ¬ cation for stable room Is Mrs M Allen She has participated in nearly every meeting staged at the local course since its opening back in 1925 In her stable Mrs Allen has the former stake horse Whipper Cracker Aurebon Justa Sheik Mannite Wild Cress and Black Flaslu
