SKY HAVEN, slow to settle in his stride, but favored by the pace of the leaders, worked his way up titoutIy on the outside in the last three-eighths, came strongly after displacing the pacemakers, and drew out into a commanding lead. SCOTCH QUEEN had a lot taken out of her chasing TWENTY KARAT and -.weakened fast after reaching the home stretch. TWENTY KARAT had good speed while setting the pace, saved ground, but failed to rally after her early efforts. The latter went in the thick of contention, came to the outside, and closed with good energy under punishment. CAPTAIN JINKS worked his way up gradually and was gaining slowly pn the first two at the end. WISE WILL, forced to race wide for racing room, closed resolutely when in full stride GRAND KNIGHT could not reach the others but finished racing gamely. SON OF TROY weakened badly durimr the stretch run. DEEP RUN was unable to menace. ZUNI acted fractiously before the start, breaking well and showing speed for .three-eighths, then stepping suddenly. ZAY had nice speed while in early contention, responded to pressure, and outstayed DANCING CLOUD. The latter gained fast when put to a drive, came to the outside, but hung approaching the finish. DOKAS went strongly for the entire trip and held on well. XANDRA was gaining steadily all during the final stages. STEELHEAD was unable to threaten at any stage. MISS MONOA tired, as did SPEEDMORE.
