GIANTS VERSUS MAYOR HAGUE NEW YORK N Y July 21 The New York Giants yesterday braved the wrath of Mayor Frank Hague of Jersey City by re ¬ calling infielder Tom Hafey from their farm club there and sending to Jersey City in ¬ fielder George Myatt from the Giants and infielder Frank Ramsey from their farm at Clinton Iowa in the ThreeEye League Hague had issued an ultimatum to the Giants not to lift Hafey from Jersey City and since Hague lets the Jersey City team use the governmentbuilt million dollar sta ¬ dium there for 1000 a year rental they have acceded to his wishes wishesBut But as Eddie Brannick secretary of the theGiants Giants explained today We simply had to tohave have Hafey We were desperate We have haveso so many men out with injuries we had to do dosomething something no matter the consequences
