WITHOUT REMOUNT STALLION STALLIONThroughbred Throughbred stallions owned by the United States Remount Corps are stand ¬ ing in fortyone states and although the greater majority of them were bred in Kentucky not one stands in that state Hardly a day passes but Col Frank Carr inspects stallions at one of the many Kentucky nurseries and each purchase is sent to other states to make their home Among the stallions now in the government service are General Grant Projectile Playtime Actuary Fred Jr Bewithus Fair Rochester Jean Lafitte Chatover Peter Hastings Bob Tail Burning Blaze Buckeye Port Algernon Bo McMillan Stars and Bars Coventry Cold Check Mountain Elk Republic Bar Hunter Don Diego Forest Play and other wellbred horses that were fonlcd and raced in Kentucky
