MUCH ACTIVITY REPORTED AT KENTUCKY FARMS TWENTY FOALS ARRIVE AT GOLDEN MAXIM MAXIMArabs Arabs Arrow Bitter Berry and Isaiah Standing at J A Baileys Farm on Outskirts of Louisville LouisvilleLOUISVILLE LOUISVILLE Ky May 3 J A Bailey manager of Golden Maxim Farm which is located near Louisville reports much activ ¬ ity at the nursery where stand the stallions Arabs Arrow Bitter Berry and Isaiah Bailey also announced that of the twenty foals ar ¬ riving at Golden Maxim this season sixteen of the lot are colts coltsArabs Arabs Arrow who formerly campaigned under the Louise J Hickman silks will have ample opportunity to prove his worth in the stud for many good mares are being taken to his court The son of The Porter and Hedemora is to be mated with Agincourt and Marching On both of which are the property of Baylor O Hickman My Gal Sal Kitty Anderson imported Jacasta and Marie Nash all from the W E Smith establish ¬ ment and Wall a mare belonging to Byrum Brothers of Milltown Ind Junius W Bell plans to send Lucky Drift and Miss Firefly to the same stallion and others scheduled to visit the Golden Maxim horse are Ellen Fisher and Red Quill QuillLouis Louis Rosenbaum Cincinnati patron who is the owner of the stallion Bitter Beriy plans to send Rose Mist dam of Main Man Stealaway Du Berry and Oncave all of which are his own property to the son of Challenger II and Briar Bunny Others to to be mated with Bitter Berry are Theodore Muellers Myrtle Caldwell and Roldgold a full sister to Wise Counsellor Byrum Broth ¬ ers Biboots W E Smiths Sally Gray Hazel Eye and Irish Play The Arcturus Stables former sprinter Isaiah who is entering his third season in the stud was bred to twentyfive mares last year and Bailey reports the son of High Time and Alary Belle settled his mares in good shape Isaiah was foaled in 1930 and was bred by the late James W Parrish A black horse of excellent conformation Isai ¬ ahs breeding goes back to such good horses as Ultimus Ballot Commando Domino im ¬ ported horses Sundown Voter Verito and Star Shoot Ginger Ted a fouryearold son of Teddy and Supper Time by Superman is to be retired to stud duty at the Byrum farm at Milltown Ind according to R S Byrum The Byrums have four mares and several of them are being bred to Ginger Ted this spring The mares are Hindoo Princess Wall Bibboo and Rhine Also standing at the Byrum place is Geo Gable who has two foals this spring one a filly is from Bibboo and the other a colt is from Rhine A third foal to arrive at the Byrum farm this spring is a filly by Gay Monarch and Wall
