EXJOCKEY CHARLES ROSS SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES INJURIESCRETE CRETE 111 June 5 Injuries he suffered when hit by an automobile just outside Lin ¬ coln Fields last Saturday evening proved fatal to Charles Ross former jockey He passed away in the St James Hospital Chi ¬ cago Heights late yesterday Ross whose real name is believed to have been Charles Bosquil was born in France He came to this country an orphan and was raised by Charles Ross prominent horseman of the nineties whose name he took tookRoss Ross rode in 1903 1904 and 1905 accord ¬ ing to his friends and since that time had worked as an exercise rider and later as an attendant He had been in the employ of H J Bundscho who left recently to enter the military service and is now stationed at Camp Forrest in Tennessee With Bundschos departure trainer P Sator took over the formers stable stableMonte Monte Weil active head of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association is in charge of funeral arrangements
