MAJOR CARR AT SUFFOLK SUFFOLKBOSTON BOSTON Mass June 5 Major Frank Carr of the U S Army Remount service is paying his annual visit to Suffolk Downs in quest of thoroughbreds for use as stal ¬ lions in various army remount breeding sta ¬ tions Carr has a number of Boston friends whom he met on numerous visits to the Old Boston Horse shows in Boston Garden at a time he was riding as a member of tho U S Army team of jumpers from Fort Riley Kansas Two of the best jumpers he showed here were Pop Over and Fairfax both of which he personally owned and developed Fairfax was subsequently sold to Holland Crowell of Newton for 5000 and Pop Over for nearly as large a price to Harold Tolman of Cohasset
