WANT AMBULANCE AVAILABLE AVAILABLEWHEELING WHEELING W Va June 13 Following the running of the first race at Wheeling Downs today while a severe electrical and thunderstorm was in progress jockeys rid ¬ ing here requested the management of the West Virginia Jockey Club to have an am ¬ bulance on the grounds during racing hours and threatened to refrain from riding dur ¬ ing the remainder of the afternoon or until such a conveyance was had for emergency use useThe The request for an ambulance was made by the local group of riders after jockey N Divito and apprentice George McLeod were thrown from the horses Windsor Chief and Rebel Flag respectively Jockey N Divito suffered a broken collar bone in the fall while McLeod escaped with a shaking up when their mounts went down at the first turn The management heeded the plea of the riders and an ambulance was dispatched to the grounds after the run ¬ ning of the second race was delayed fifteen minutes
