NAVAL STATION, quick to begin, was rated along in front but bore out on the stretch run. responded to urging and came again to outfinish her opposition. MEADOW MAID was close up from the start, came through on the inside entering the stretch, but hung at the finish. TURBULENCE, on the outside and close to the early pace, faltered in the closing furlong. FLIGHT NlRSE was slow to begin, moved up gamely on the inside in the stretch, but tired. PLAYFIELDS was sent through on the inside rounding the far turn and drew away enterina the stretch and won under mild urging. SPIRIT was placed under pressure on the stretch turn and finished gamely. WISE DECISION showed early speed, but beean to bear out on the far turn and then faltered badly in the stretch. RUNAWAY BOY was outrun. SABATIS had early speed. DRUMUIR was quick to start and, hustled into command, responded well when placed under pressure in the stretch run and outfinished LESLIE GREY. The latter moved up gamely on the outside, responded to pressure, but could not menace the winner. HEAD SMART dwelt at the start, was sent up with a rush and then tired badly in the drive: RHODIAN was away poorly and went wide into the stretch turn. MISS BROWNKING had a flash of early speed. BLUE 3KRGE, on the inside, forced the pace from the start, responded gamely to the urging in the closing stages, disposed of TERSE and thei» drew clear. The latter, closest to the pace from the start, made a game bid in the stretch run, but hung at the finish. COUNT DAUNT made up some ground and outfinished FUEGO.
