West Virginia Apprentice Rule a CHARLES TOWN. W. Va.. June 2.— The B following rule has been adopted by the e West Virginia State Racing Commission: : "The period during which horse racing was s suspended in the United States, January 3. j 1945. to May 9. 1945. a period of 127 days, shall not be counted or charged against 2 * the one-year period during which an apprentice jockey may claim an allowance as I set forth in rule 164 of the West Virginia a Racing Commission and the said one-year r period is hereby extended for 127 days for r all riders who were apprentice jockeys on _ January 3, 1945, except those who rode at recognized meetings in countries other than a_ the United States during the said suspension of racing and as to those apprentice e jockeys an affidavit, fully setting forth the e facts of their activities during said period, 1, may be presented to the boards of stewards s for the purpose of determining the number r of days, if any, which shall be credited to o said apprentice jockey by reason of said d suspension of racing."
