1 I 1 I n . 3 Wirrhs First Winner LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 2.— When Freddie Wirth. a local boy under contract to Milton Shagrin, kept Hughie L. in front long enough to win his engagement at Churchill Downs here yesterday, it was Wirth "s first ride astride a winner. The lad, one of the better young prospects, rode in a few races last year when he was with Bennett Creech. For Freddie the vic-q tory on Hughie L. provided a double thrill, for his mother, Mrs. Lena Wirth, was a spectator. Incidentally, it was Mrs. Wirthg first visit to a race course.
