TWO DOWN was sprinted into a long lead in the first half mile, maintained advantage under light restraint to the head of the stretch, then widened under light urging. NELLIE MOWLEE, away slowly, moved into contention nearing the far turn, saved ground entering the stretch and closed willingly. MAROC was on the outside all the way and had no mishap. WEAPONS PRIDE broke slowly, was outrun to the head of the stretch, then closed with good energy. ROYAL SILVER was rushed up on the inside in the backstretch, assumed contention, then faltered in the stretch. ZORA J. was unable to untrack herself MIGHTY TOUGH passed tiring horses in the stretch. BETTY QUEEN remained in close attendance of the pace for three furlongs, drew into command when ready, opened up a clear lead and was under a drive to the end. HAPPY PAT, well placed early, responded to pressure entering the stretch and closed with good energy. BIMONT, slow to begin, came around horses entering the stretch and finished fastest. CABBIE BOY was unable to improve his position under steady urging. PLAYING POMP passed tiring horses in the stretch. XCITABLE broke alertly to take command at once, then faltered badly when challenged on the far turn. FLYING JIM was rushed up on the outside leaving the backstretch, then flattened out. GERHAM, quickest to begin, outran his field going to the turn, was steered out in the better going entering the stretch, lost some ground, but responded to pressure in the final sixteenth to hold FIRST SENTRY safe. The latter broke slowly and was not rushed into contention until after a quarter, then came through on the inside to challenge the leader, but was unable to make up ground from the sixteenth pole to the finish. GUNNISON followed close behind the pace while out in the better going, went very wide entering the stretch and was tiring at the end. BUCK C. was unable to better position under steady urging. NIGHT EDITOR, going forwardly placed, moved up with a rush entering the far turn, assumed command, drew clear and won with speed in reserve. MISREPRESENT, in closest attendance of the pace, saved ground throughout and held on gamely under light pressure. TOSS UP assumed a short early lead under urging, was taken to the better footing when displaced, then held on well. MAD SADIE was unable to keep up after rushing up fast on the inside near the half-mile post. SUN TALK was going forwardly when impeded going into the far turn, was taken up sharply, recovered entering the stretch, then flattened out. GRAND VENTURE showed nothing. DONS COUNT remained close to the pace under light restraint to the middle of the turn, was shaken up entering the stretch to make a determined bid, then held on well. CZECH LASS saved ground and had no excuse. LA REINETTE was unable to improve position when called upon. DAISY LEE raced evenly. TO TOWN JAMES, under a drive leaving the backstretch, failed to offer serious contention. BROADWAY JIM was never prominent. WINECUP was outrun. TOP TRANSIT went to the front at once, was under a tight hold while setting the pace to the end of the backstretch, then was allowed to widen his advantage and won with speed in reserve. SANGONE moved up with a rush rounding the far turn to enter contention, then held on well. WAKE ROBIN improved position in the final half mile, but was unable to seriously threaten. PATTY KNOT, under light urging in the middle of the track, weakened when put to a drive. MIDNIGHT RIDE had no mishap. DUCHESS MYRNA was outrun. BETEL showed brief early speed. GUNFLASH, allowed to settle into best stride, responded to steady pressure to come around the field, then was steered to the better footing and drew away at the end. GLENWOOD BOY, under a tight hold while within striking distance, moved up on the outside entering the far turn, then was steered to the inside entering the stretch, disposed of DOODLE BUG nearing he sixteenth post, but was unable to hold the winner. DOODLE BUG assumed early command, set the pace under a snug hold, was shaken up entering the stretch, but weakened. UNITRAN was unable to reach the leaders when called on. JOBLOTS was through after a half. JUSTICE NAP broke down and was pulled up nearing the half-mile post.
