Fourteen Horses Die in Fire FirePLATTSMOUTH PLATTSMOUTH Neb May 15 Four ¬ teen race horses died today in a fire which destroyed Jack Brechts Oakmont Stables on the outskirts of Plattsmouth Brecht said the horses were valued at 50000 and that equipment worth 25000 also was de ¬ stroyed Tom Solomon sheriff of Cass County said a bolt of lightning apparently started the fire The Plattsmouth fire de ¬ partment fought the blaze for several hours but found it impossible to save the horses
