Limit Field Expected to Go In Inaugural at Ascot Park ParkASCOT ASCOT PARK Northampton Ohio June i 2 The first of seven features scheduled during the 19day Ascot Park meeting will be the headliner on the openingday card Saturday The main attraction posted of the eight races planned for the opening day program is the Inaugural Handicap It is a contest for threeyearolds and older horses and a purse of 1200 is to be awarded A limit field of eight entrants is expected to go postward in the sevenfur ¬ long event Entries close tomorrow and weights will be released on Friday by rac ¬ ing secretary and handicapper E W Bury On June 9 the Akron BeaconJournal Handicap a six and a half furlongs test I which offers a prize of 1500 will be the feature for the afternoon The Ascot Spe ¬ cial having a purse award of 2500 at ¬ tached follows this one June 12 The other offerings listed are June 16 the 1500 Ascot Big Four June 19 the 3000 Victory Plate June 23 the 1500 Speed Handicap and June 26 the 6000 Ascot Gold Cup
