JOCKEY GAIL PARKER Continued his fine saddle form at Ascot Park where he rode four more winners yesterday mak ¬ ing it five days in the last eight that he has had three or more winners Sistime Drives to Fore In First Start at Ascot AscotBrings Brings Halt to Jockey Parkers Winning Streak at Four for Day DayBy By RONALD KBANCER KBANCERStaff Staff Correspondent CorrespondentASCOT ASCOT PARK Cuyahoga Falls Ohio May 5 The Florida Sun Stables Sistime given an energetic ride by Tommy Maeda scored by three parts of a length over Efcee in the featured Ascot test at four and one half furlongs The heavily favored Free Valley with jockey Gail Parker trying to score his fifth victory of the day was third another halflength in arrears arrearsSistime Sistime was shipped here from Fort Mi ¬ ami and was running her first race over the Akron course It was her second tally of the season in 10 starts and she paid 1860 Sistime ran as part of an entry trained by Kenneth McLaughlin Quesab the other part of the duo was unplaced Time for the dash was 55 over the slow track trackThe The weather remained on the chilly side here in Northern Ohio but an enthuiastic crowd of about 4000 turned out to witness the formful sport Gail Parker was once again the riding star of the day with four straight victories It was the fifth time in the past eight racing days that Parker has scored at least a triple tripleIn In the feature Free Valley was first to show in front with Sistime in second posi ¬ tion and Royal Fiddle third Racing along the backstretch and into the far turn the favorite was pacing the way by almost three lengths with the eventual winner still second and Lundi now third thirdFree Free Valley was along the rail on the turns and through the stretch and at the furlong station was in front by a length Sistime was beginning to ramble and was on the outside and very definitely in the better going Royal Fiddle from the Bod nar Brothers establishment was not in third position and Efcee was closing like the wind while on the extreme outside of the pack packIn In the final sixteeth of a mile Sistime moved into the lead as Free Valley short ¬ ened stride Efcee also passed the tiring favorite in the remaining distance to the wire wireSistime Sistime is a ood lopking fouryearold Cassis filly and was bred by Mrs IHelene W Boyle wife of the owner of the Charles Town Jockey Club ClubJockeys Jockeys Gail Parker and Edward Plesa the two leading riders at this course ac ¬ counted for two races apiece in the first four events Plesa rode the Daily Double while Parker came through to score in the third and fourth races racesIn In the fourth event the hustling Parker was astride Herodema and after allowing that one to gain best stride moved through strongly on the inside and then after gain ¬ ing the lead drew clear to win by three and onehalf lengths Intelligencer was sec ¬ ond and Free Hour third another two and onehalf lengths in arrears The winner paid 640 and was timed in 141 for the seven furlongs furlongsParker Parker won the third race while astride Off Line owned by Abe Livingston Off Line also came from out of it and at the end of his seven furlongs was in frpnt of Blessette by a length and onequarter The latter had led to just inside the sixteenth marker Keen Tulip was third three lengths farther away from paydirt Off Line who wintered in the Crescent City returned hi backers 1460
