having responded rapidly to treatment Career Boy galloped over a slow track Sunday morning and again this morning and DAILY RACING FORM dockers proclaimed his manner of going far more satisfactory this morning than the Sunday canter canterA A surprise hit Churchill officials this morning with the word that Jean Baptiste was flown in from New York and appar ¬ ently encouraged to give the Derby a whirl following the confusing results of the Wood Memorial and Blue Grass Stakes in New York and Keeneland respectively plus the sound defeat of a number of Derby solid horses by Swoons Son at six furlongs in the Swaps Purse here Saturday SaturdayInjury Injury Seen Blessing in Disguise DisguiseAfter After his trial Sunday the C V Whit ¬ ney forces were of course disappointed that the discovery of Career Boys injury might put him on the sidelines Derby day However the feeling today was that his bruised heel actually was a blessing in dis ¬ guise guiseHad Had not Career Boy taken a misstep
