Mrs William T Favorite known to hundreds of Detroit race fans as the oldest regular patron of the sport is shown admiring a portrait painted in her box as the field parades to the post at Hazel Park The painting was a present from her son William P Favorite and his wife and the artist Robert A Thorn and his wife on Mrs Favorites 85th birthday recently Hazel Park officials presented Mrs Favorite with a lifetime pass to the track in appreciation of your long and faithful devotion to the sport of kings
