Bad Luck Hits Woodhouse WoodhouseHedley Hedley Woodhouse experienced a very poor week last spring He received two black eyes when hit by dirt while riding at Gulfstream then at the same track he was beaten with a 4to5 shot Poly Hi in the Singing Tower Stakes in a roughly run race The next day after a hectic plane trip to New York the 37yearold jockey rushed to Jamaica in the car he had left all winter at his New York home forgetting that he had not put 1957 plates on the automobile was halted in his pro ¬ gress by the gendarmes He wound up sixth in an 11horse field when he finally got to riding
