SAN FRANCISCO STAKES. The list of stakes to be run at the winter and spring meeting of the California Jockey Club has been made public. Seventeen stakes are on the program, ranging in date from November 15, 1902, to April 1 of next year, and all of them have added money instead of the guaranteed value, except the Burns Handicap, which is guaranteed to be worth 0,000. Second on the list iB the California Futurity, with ,750 added money, which will give it a big value. The California Oaks for three-year-old fillies is to be perpetuated, ,000 being the announced added money. For two-year-olds there are the Gebhard Handicap over the futurity course, with ,750 added, and the Bell Stakes at five furlongs, and with the same amount of coin coming from the association. The California Derby for three-year-olds will be run over the usual distance of a mile and a quarter, and will have ,5G0 added money. The remainder of the stakes, distance, name and added money value are as follows : Opening Handicap, one mile, ,500 added; Thanksgiving Handicap, one mile and a furlong, CONTINUED ON SECOND PAGE.
