THE GLEAM DESTROYED AT WINDSOR. Breaks a Bone in Foreleg Favorite Falls-Royal Breeze Only Winning Choice. Detroit, Mich., July S. All of the favorites, with the exception of Royal Breeze in the third race, were defeated at Windsor today. Royal Breeze was held at prohibitive odds and had no trouble in winning. Jockey Stille escaped with a few bruises when Favorita was caught in a jam on the turn for home in the sixth race and fell. The Gleam, belonging to George Hendrie and the favorite in the fifth race, snapped one of the bones in a foreleg during the race and was pulled up. It was found on examination that the horse was injured beyond recovery and he was destroyed. N. Straus has sold the bay filly, Cantless, to J. A. Gray.
