NOTES OF THE TURF. Jockey Finn is to go to California to do the lightweight riding for the Ilildreth stable the coming winter. The 5,000 Griffon Pillowdex vearling which II. B. Duryea bought of I.urJow and ONeill, has been named Strike Out. A sister to Pretty Polly made her lirst appearance under colors in England a few ilavs ago and won very easily. The Ally lias not been naiued vet. but looks more like living up to the reputation of her distinguished relative than any of the produce of Gallinule and Admiration have succeeded in doing. Lamaneur, a colt that gives promise of being one of the best two-year-olds in France, made his appearance at Jlaisons-Lafilte the other day and won the Prix Eclipse so impressively that M. Edmund Blanc tendered an offer of 0,000 for him, which was refused. He is a son of Couvernailand is said to lie a wonderful individual.
