PRESIDENT TOM WILLIAMS IN TOWN. Mr. Thomas II. Williams, president of the California Jockey Club, arrived in Chicago yesterday on his way to San Francisco. He will resume his journey today, and is quite enthusiastic over racing prospects of the coming meeting at Oakland. "We shall have more horses than we have room for now and will have to hustle to provide stable room for them," said he last night. "More than that, we shall have more high-class horses than we have ever had before.- ,1 look- forward to the best racing California lias ever known.
