CROKER LEADS THE IRISH TURFMEN. Modest Earnings of Chief Stables of the Emerald Isle. Richard Croker heads the list of winning owners in Ireland this year, with a total of 8,130. the stakes and -purses of twenty-two races. This, of course, does not include the !.500 sovereigns or $:!2,300 Kpsoni Derby won by Orby, the ,000 second money taken by Orbys half-sister, Rhodora. in the National Breeders Produce Stakes at Sundown Park, or any other sums won by -the Croker horses in races outside of Ireland. Second comes K. P. Gall, who in five races Avon a total of 5,042, making his average much greater than that of the owner of Orby. winner of the Irish Derby. J. J. Parkinson is third with 2,S0S, but won more races than Croker and Gall together in capturing thirty-one races. In the department of winning sires Crokcrs American bred Americas heads the list with a total of 0,000 to his credit. Orme. sire of Orby, G raj-Leg. Desmond, Count Scbotnberg, St. Frusquin, Florizcl II. and AVildfowler follow in the order named. Gallinule, the sire which heads the English list, is represented by progeuj- in Ireland, but their racing was inconsequential. J. Thompson leads the -professional jockeys yvith forty-three winners, thirtj-four seconds and eighteen times third out of ISO mounts. 1 J. K. Manlej- is the leading gentleman rider of the year, having ridden thirty winning races, placed eighteen times and twenty-one thirds out of 118 mounts. Parkinson, third in the list of winning owners, is also a professional trainer, and is first in that list by a wide margin.
