The latter raced .well. up throughout-and made a fast linish- AMERICUS ran in close pursuit throughout and finished gamely. HEARTHSTONE showed early speed, but tired after racing into the lead. BENDKL finished fast and close up. CHILTON SQUAW showed speed. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. HENRY HUTCHISON raced in close pursuit throughout and outgamed VENETA STROME for third place. The latter tired after setting the pace to the stretch. THE MONK ran poorly.
