MARIE COGHILL began slowly and was far back early, but came in the stretch next to the rail and, getting through a small opening, finished with a whirlwind rush and got up to win in the last stride. COL. RANDELL raced BAT MASTERSON into defeat and finished gamely. WAXEMALL made up ground steadily into a close an third. J. NOLAN also closed a gap and finished fast. MONEY MAKER finished with" a rush, but came wide through tbe last quarter. There was considerable rough riding in the first eighth, in which EOMONT and BABY CAL suffered.
