SANF0RD YEARLINGS TO BE SOLD. John Sanford has announced that he will send seven of the Hurricana-bred yearlings to the sales ring at Pimlico November 11. The ones that will go under the hammer are Tit for Tat, a bay filly by Chuctanunda Retaliation, a sister to the old plater Paton, and Vails; Wetona, a bay daughter of Chuctanunda Princess Monmouth, the dam of that fast filly Kennyetto; Umstilla, a bay daughter of Clifford Cayudutta, a sister to Cliff Creek, which was a winner in France; Dragon Rock, a bay son of Trap Rock Consnelo II., and consequently a half-brother to the Kentucky Derby winner, George Smith, and Teresa Gill; Michican, a bay son of Isidor Sadaquada, the dam of Carlaverock; Oris-kany, a bay son of Chuctanunda Oriska, the dam of the fast sprinter Quartz and Marshal Neil; a bay or brown colt by Isidor Rock Rose, the dam of Fort Hunter and the fast filly Isirose. These will be offered in the paddock at Pimlico before; the races and, on blood lines, it should be possible to pick up good ones for the early two-year-old races at the winter tracks.
