BELMONT PARK STAKES TO CLOSE TOMORROW For its coming fall meeting, the Westchester Racing Association has announced a liberal list of twelve stake races, to close for entries at midnight of tomorrow. Except in tho cases of tho Nassau . Selling Stakes and Mincola Selling Stakes, which are mM each of the guaranteed value of ,500, the races arc all on the added money system, a pleasing token of swelling confidence in tho stability of New York racing. The added money is on as great a scale of liberality as might reasonably he expected. Unlike the Kentucky and Canadian tracks, the new York tracks derive no revenue from betting and perforce are obliged to depend upon gate receipts and refreshment privileges for their income. This noces- j sarily limits their outlay for stake races, purses and current expenses. Under such circumstances, the Belmont Park offerings should be awarded the most liberal patronage in the way of abundant entries to these stakes.
