IKE TULLETT A VERSATILE TURFMAN LEXINGTON, Ky., August 27.--Speakiug of versatility in the handling of race horses, Ike Tul-lett is entitled to the prize in this section. Ike is forty-three and is the owner, trainer, groom and exercise boy for Silvery Light. Friday at the negro fair here Ike donned his colors, made weight and rode Silvery Light to victory in the first race. Then he took the mount on Aztec and won the last race of the day. Ike rode horses for twenty-three years and then dropped out for a couple of years, but found other employment lesa profitable,, so he is back again on the turf. He lias a reputation among tho trainers as to his ability to work a horse, mid there Is scarcely u morning that he livs not make more than working horses at fifty cents each. 1
