BRIGHT GOLD drew clear after entering the stretch and, under punishment, held on gamely the final drive and won going away. WEARY, shuttled back at the start, ran green in the early running and ran in close quarters in the stretch, but finished witli a rush when clear. INCINERATOR closed up steadily on the outside of the leaders and outstayed SISTER HELENE in the final drive. The latter was much used in forcing the early pace and tired after taking the lead. EDITH K. saved ground on the stretcli turn, but could not secure a clear course in the last eighth. LONELY quit badly in the stretch. ARNOLD, forced back at the start, recovered quicklv, and saving ground on all the turns outstayed YOUXKEI at the end. The lattec; tired badly in the stretch. STAR CLASS began slowly and ran well.
