ENGLANDS BEST 2 -YEAR-OLD SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. LONDON, England, July 15. Lord Woolav-ingtons good two-year-old Town Guard, bay colt by Hurry On Williams Pride, added another stake to his list of victories by beating Lord DAbernons well-regarded filly, Cos, in the forty-first renewal of the rich National Breeders Produce Stakes at San-down Park today. The day was bright, but the going was a trifle holding. An immense crowd was on hand for the racing. Among the visitors were Viscount Lascellcs and his bride, Princess Mary. Town Guard had the advantage at the start and raced the others into defeat before half of the race had been run. He won with ridiculous ease by five lengths, while Cos beat La Lumiere by six lengths for second place. Cos lost two lengths at the start by beginning slowly, but this cut no figure in the result. The DAbernon filly was a well-backed favorite at 6 to 4. Town Guard ruled at 100 to 10, and La Lumiere at 100 to 7. The National Breeders is a five-eighths dash, with a value of over 0,000. The winners performance stamped him as about the best of the two-year-olds. A summary of the race follows: Lord Woolavingtons Town Guard, b. c, by Harry On Williams Pride Archibald, 131 pounds; 100 to 30 1 Lord DAbernons Cos, br. f. by Flying Orb Renaissance Ilulme, 123 pounds; C to 4.. 2 William Clarks La Lumiere, gr. f, by The Tc- traicli Moonray Carslake, 110 pounds; 100 to 7 3 Won easily by fire lengths; six lengths between second and third.
