Major, who has been campaigning his horses at Aurora, was an arrival and will rtmain on the Canadian tracks for the re-niainder of the season. Joseph McLennan, who will officiate at the ct rring meeting at Ottawa, arrived here after a prolonged visit in New York, where he inteiested horse owners in the stakes to be decided at Blue Bonnets and Dorval. The Greentrte and H. P. Whitney stables nominated Mime of their best for the events to be run at the above tracks. Morty Ma honey, in charge of the vast betting pavillion here, for the first time announced That the plant is one of the most up to date structures in Canada. The entiy of Chloris for the Canadian Handicap, to be run here on Thursday, has been declared void, owing to her being barred ct tho closing of the stake. Nipper Bowe, one of starter Palmers assistants, arrived here and announced that a barrier wil. be erected at Devonshire today for tbe convenience of horsemen wishing to take auvas.tage of schooling their charges. •
