INDIAN RUNNER TOPS LIST Assigned 126 Pounds for ,500 Added Illinois Handicap to Be Run at Hawthorne Saturday. CICERO, 111., Aug. 7. If Indian Runner, the crack son of Dis Done, which races for D. A. Wooc" of Benton, 111., adds the Illinois Handicap. ,500 added fixture to be renewed at one mile and one-sixteenth at Hawthorne Saturday, to his imposing record for the season he will do so under the heavy impost of 126 pounds. This is the weight assigned the four-year-old by handicappers Joseph McLennan and Clint C. Riley, according to announcement of imposts made Monday afternoon, and it is the heaviest of assignments made for the twenty-four el.gibles. Polydorus, star of the stable of Abe Bar-telstein of Chicago, is asked to shoulder 120 pounds, or six more than was allotted Mrs. J. D. Hertz Watch Him, which came next in the estimation of the handicappers. While the latter is not expected to come here from Saratoga for the race, Indian Runner and Polydorus are almost certain starters, and included among their very probable rivals, with weights, are: C. E. Davisons No More, 110; Strathmore Stables Cathop, 106; Shan-don Farms Evergold, 106; Mrs. John Marschs Princess Camelia, 105; Coldstream Studs Marmion, 103; J. J. Coughlins Karl Eitel, 100; Shandon Farms At Top, 95; Mrs. W. Schmidts Fair Image, 94, and others. This Hawthorne feature is limited to horses the property of bona fide residents of the state of Illinois and its popularity well compares with that of the richer Chicago stakes and handicaps. In addition to the purse money, the owner of the winner will receive a handsome and valuable trcphy, a gift of the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association.
