THISTLE GENIE raced to the front soon after the start and, showing a liking for the giong, withstood a challenge from BROWN IDYLL and drew out after interfering with the latter in the stretch. BROWN IDYLL, never far away, saved ground turning for home, was in close quarters on the inside of the winner an eighth out and tired near the end. DEPUTATION was always well up. SOUEASTER raced fairly well in the going. DELINE BANK could not keep up. GREEN FLAME, taken back to last place when in close quarters at the start, showed a poor effort. VOYAGE, outrun a trifle in the early part, came very fast in the stretch to close stoutly on the outside to catch BENS HOPE in the last few strides. BENS HOPE held on well in the going after setting the pace. KING CARESS had speed, but tired nearing the finish. MEMPHIS LASS raced through "an opening on the far turn to reach contention and showed an improved effort. BOYD McGEE had some speed, but tired. The latter had the most speed and held on fairly well after racing close up. AMY COOPER was used up setting the pace and had little left. TASSAJARA could not keep up with the early leaders, was in close quarters in the stretch and seems to be slipping.
